"It's incredibly hard to find truly good Mexican food here in Colorado Springs. I've been a fan of Illegal Pete's for a long time and was really glad to see this location opening. The only thing that I might offer as feedback, and I'm going to say that again- it's the only thing that I can really say as feedback, is that when you make a burrito the ingredients need to be spread out across the entire tortilla. The main protein in my burrito was stuffed on one end. That meant, I was eating all of the other ingredients before getting to the main protein. If I had started eating it from the other end there would have been nothing but protein, in this case it was Barbacoa. Again, that is not a big deal but it did impact the taste. Otherwise, everything is very tasty and prepared well. The other item I had was a taco with chicken in it. I have to say, Illegal Pete's chicken is one of the most flavorful I've ever had. Usually, and this is one of my biggest issues with other Mexican restaurants here in Springs, the chicken is flavorless. It's like other restaurants just put salt and pepper on the chicken and either roast it or boil it and think that's a job well done. This chicken is so flavorful it can stand on its own. Anyway, I'm a big fan of Illegal Pete's and will definitely be back. I can't recommend this place enough."
